Oct. 13: Pomfret exploded for three second half goals to beat Choate 3-1.The first half found Pomfret on their heels for a good portion of the half trying to contain a talented front runner for Choate who got in behind the Pomfret defense a couple of times but luckily was unable to convert. Pomfret regained composure and started to create a few more chances and corners late in the half, including a great 1v1 opportunity from Izzy Regine who slid a shot past the keeper that narrowly missed finding the inside post. Pomfret came out in the second half determined to set the tempo, scoring three goals within 15 minutes. It was tenacious defending from the Pomfret back line and good possession from the midfield that created the great scoring opportunities. Pomfret moves to 6-1-1 on the season.
