PUTNAM — After a compliance inspection Oct. 15 one local business was cited for selling tobacco to a minor under 18.
The Fuel Spot, 2 Grove St was cited.
Clerk All Jafri, 42, of Danielson were cited. Jafri was issued an infraction for $200 as a first-time offender. The Cigarette Dealer license holder there faces additional administrative sanctions from the state Department of Revenue Service, the state agency that issues Cigarette Dealer Licenses.
The inspection was conducted by the Putnam Police Department in cooperation with the State of Connectic Mental Health and Addiction Services, Tobacco Prevention and Enforcement Program.
