Zoning Commission
The Town of Putnam Zoning Commission held a meeting on December 19, 2012 at 7:00 P.M. at the Town Hall located at 126 Church Street, Putnam, CT. The following action was taken:
Docket # 2012-06: Edward Artiaco — Request for a special permit for a home occupation according to Section 925 of the Town of Putnam Zoning Regulation for homemade wood crafts and furniture in his garage. Property located at 271 East Putnam Road, Town Assessor’s Map 029, Lot 064. Zoned AG-2 APPROVED WITH CONDITIONS.
Docket # 2012-07: Anna Vinal — Request for a special permit for a home occupation according to Section 925 of the Town of Putnam Zoning Regulations for Reiki Treatments. Property located at 208 South Main Street, Town Assessor’s Map 020, Lot 076. Zoned R-7. APPROVED.
Docket # 2012-08: Jere Stone — Request for a special permit for a home occupation according to Section 925 of the Town of Putnam Zoning Regulations for a counseling practice located at 483 Liberty Highway, Town Assessor’s Map 26, Lot 110. Zoned AG-2. APPROVED.
Docket # 2012-09: Ling Xin Li for a special permit according to Section 720 Schedule of Uses & Districts of the Town of Putnam Zoning Regulations to convert an existing building (formerly The Furniture Store) to a 15-room hotel. Property located at 51 Pomfret Street, Town Assessor’s Map 15, Lot, 58. Zoned C-3, located in the Industrial Heritage Overlay District. APPROVED WITH CONDITIONS.

COLLECTIONS
The January 2013 billing of water and / or sewer collections for the Town of Putnam WPCA is due and payable on January 1, 2013 through February 1, 2012.
Payments made after February 1, 2013 will be subject to an Interest charge of 3% (1.5% per month) or $2.00 minimum whichever is higher, according to Connecticut State Statute SEC.

Mail must be postmarked no later than February 1, 2013 to avoid interest charges.

The second installment of taxes, due to the Town of Putnam, Special Service District, and West Putnam District on the Grand List of October 1, 2011, is due and payable on January 1, 2013 through February 1, 2013.
Payments made after February 1, 2013, will be subject to an interest charge of 3% (1½ % per month) or $2.00 minimum per Town and $2.00 minimum per Special Service District and West Putnam District (where applicable), whichever is higher, according to Connecticut State Statute, SEC. 12-146.
Mail must be postmarked no later than
February 1, 2013 to avoid interest charges.
Current bills may be paid online at www.putnamct.us
Supplemental Motor Vehicle bills will be due in full during January.
Supplemental Motor Vehicle bills are for vehicles registered between October 2, 2011 and July 31, 2012.
