Pomfret - Mary Frances (Bernard) Sheldon, 80, died Oct. 10, 2010, at home surrounded by people she loved.
She was born July 4, 1930.
She leaves her husband Stanley Sheldon Jr.; daughters, Mary Ann (Ed) Bates, Kathleen Sheldon, Patricia Carlson and companion Russ Lutz, Diane (Doug) Carson; granddaughters Kelli and Kady; her cat Rascal.

Anna J. Jankot,
former nurse
PUTNAM — Anna Jane Jankot, 89, formerly of Sabin Street, died Oct. 14, 2010. She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years Joseph Jankot.
Anna was born in 1921 in Webster to the late Thaddeus and Mary (Niemiec) Przybylek.
Ann was proud of her 25-year career as a nurse in the operating room at Day Kimball Hospital. Joe got her interested in golf. Golf and bowling were lifelong interests.
She leaves her sons Alan Jankot (Pamela), Jeffrey Jankot (Deborah Crane); granddaughter Tanya Jankot-Ma (Jeff Ma); great-grand daughter Abigail Ma, granddaughter Amee VanNorman (Jason); granddaughter Julia Jankot; grandson Joshua Jankot and her special friend Sheila Jankot.
Burial was in St. Mary Cemetery in Putnam. Donations: Day Kimball Hospital , PO Box 632, Putnam CT 06260. Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St., Putnam.
Lorraine M. Cutler,

DAYVILLE — Lorraine M. Cutler, 62, of Dayville, died Oct. 18, 2010, at Matulaitis Nursing Home in Putnam. She was the wife of Dwight R. Cutler Sr. They were married May 2, 1964. He died Jan. 11, 2005.
She was born May 1, 1948, in Woonsocket, R.I., daughter of the late Arthur and Viola (Brais) Brunet. She had made her home in the Dayville section of Killingly for over 40 years. She was a communicant of the St. Anne Church in Ballouville.
She leaves her children: Dwight Cutler Jr. (Kim) of Dayville, Cheryl Cutler of Dayville; grandchildren: Chelsea, Julie, Connor, Olivia; great-granddaughter Laurel Ai.

Evelyn ‘Gram’ Ross,

BROOKLYN — Evelyn Mae “Gram” Ross died Oct. 10, 2010, at home after a long illness. She had made her home in Brooklyn for over 47 years. She had a great love for life and family. She was known to all as Gram. Gram always open her home and would never turn anyone away.
She was predeceased by her husband and two sons. She has 10 children remaining and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and her long time companion Scruff her dog.

Gloria Swensen,
former teacher
CROMWELL — Gloria E. Swensen, died Oct. 7, 2010, in Middlesex Hospital in Middletown after a long illness.
She was born Gloria Evelyn Fast on May 10, 1929, in Rockford, Ill. She lived most recently in Cromwell.
Gloria worked as a teacher for Capitol Region Education Council’s hearing impaired program. She was a pastor’s wife and served with her husband in Iowa, Illinois and Connecticut. Their Connecticut churches were Trinity Covenant Church in Manchester, Evangelical Covenant Church in Woodstock, First Congregational Church of Pomfret, and First Congregational Church of Hebron.
She leaves her husband, Rev. Norman E. Swensen; sons Charles, Scott, and Curt; daughters-in-law Rhonda and Kim; grandchildren Heidi Wallace (Brian), Andrew Swensen, Kira Swensen, Kyle Swensen, and Callen Swensen; and great-grandchildren Benjamin and Abigail Evelyn Wallace.
A Memorial Service was Oct. 16 at the Evangelical Covenant Church. Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove St., Putnam.
Richard L. Laflamme,
WWII vet
THE VILLAGES, Fla. --- Richard L., Laflamme, 81, of Lady Lake died Oct. 15, 2010.
He was born in North Grosvenordale and moved to Lady Lake from Putnam in 1994.
He was a Catholic by faith. He was a retired construction worker, a U.S. Navy WWII veteran, having served aboard the USS Boxer aircraft carrier and was a member of the American Legion Post 347 of Lady Lake.
He leaves his wife Dora of Lady Lake; three sons, Wayne Laflamme of Putnam, Gary Laflamme of Lady Lake, Steven Laflamme of Lady Lake; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Laflamme of Lady Lake; three sisters, Dolores of Putnam, Joyce of Arkansas and Debra of Connecticut.
A Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 1 at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla., with full military honors by American Legion Post 347 of Lady Lake.
