PUTNAM ---  Internationally acclaimed pianist Frederick Moyer and his Jazz Arts Trio, will perform a benefit for Habitat for Humanity of Northeast Connecticut at 7 p.m. April 30 at the Tang Performing Arts Center at The Rectory School in Pomfret.
Tickets are available at WINY Radio and from any Habitat Board member or individuals on the organizing committee.
Cost is $25 for adults and $10 for seniors and students. Tickets will also be available at the door on the day of the day of the concert; however, the event has sold out the past two years.
Anyone planning to attend is urged to purchase tickets in advance.
This is one of many concerts that Frederick Moyer has generously performed for Habitat over the years.
The concert has become an annual event in memory of the Rev. David Picciano, who first introduced Moyer to Habitat and his Northeastern Connecticut audience more than 12 years ago.
Proceeds from the concert will benefit Habitat for Humanity of Northeast Connecticut, which has built and rehabbed 12 homes in the 10-town area since being chartered in 1995.
The affiliate is planning to break ground in the spring for its next “Habitat build,” which is scheduled in the town of Brooklyn.
“Habitat for Humanity of Northeast Connecticut is proud to once again host Frederick Moyer and his music.  We are fortunate to be able to bring a man with worldwide acclaim and talent to our area,” said Ronald P. Coderre, Habitat executive director.
